The Story

High school sweethearts James and Andrea Warburton grew up in the Adelaide Hills, always feeling connected to the land and community. In 2021, alongside close friends, they took a leap of faith and purchased the renowned Schuberts vineyard in Lobethal, setting them on an exciting new path.

James, after a decade building one of Adelaide’s leading solar companies, found joy in vineyard life—driving tractors, tending cattle, and working the land. Andrea, with her creative eye and passion for quality, embraced the journey alongside him. To bring their vision to life, they teamed up with acclaimed winemaker Kym Milne, sharing a commitment to handpicked fruit, careful craftsmanship, and wines that truly reflect their home.

Their first vintage in 2024 produced a beautifully crafted Gris, Sparkling, and Pinot Noir—each bottle telling the story of their journey. With a small vineyard now planted at their family home, Warburton Wine is just getting started, blending tradition, innovation, and the best of the Adelaide Hills in every glass.
